MLC’s scenario insights & portfolio positioning report – October 2016

October 25, 2016 by Anthony Joseph Brosnan

The October 2016 report, MLC’s scenario insights & portfolio positioning, states:

“Apparently oblivious to mounting evidence to the contrary, policy makers are persisting with the notion that if they can get interest rates low enough it will encourage consumers to spend and companies to invest. Today’s ultra-low interest rates are symptomatic of a mistaken belief that ever looser monetary policy is the key to a stronger economy.”

At Godfrey Pembroke we put investors at the centre of our thinking and focus on what really makes an impact on investor outcomes – asset allocation. With this in mind, we concentrate on finding the right allocations between asset classes and sub-asset classes and design portfolios which help investors achieve their financial goals.

Each quarter, this Strategic Overlay document explains MLC’s view on the market environment, scenarios that may play out and the drivers for the positioning of our clients’ diversified portfolios.
